We have done similar analyses on these topics, for example, this article: https://www.fractracker.org/2017/06/risking-americas-food-for-energy/ If you are interested in a map of a specific issue, you can request one from us: https://www.fractracker.org/services/custom-maps/

Thank you for your support!

Hi Christina – if you click on the basemap button – which looks like a square made up of 4 smaller squares – you can select a satellite background. If you are viewing the map in full screen, this button is in the upper left of the map. Let me know if you have more questions about this!

I would like to be able to overlay this on a satellite map with forests, ag, towns, etc. Thank you for the incredible effort to create this resource.

I commend everyone involved in FracTracker for developing this capability. This graphic should be very useful in lobbying to visually get across how heavily impacted areas are by oil & gas development. I also am wondering if you are considering developing the ability to overlay this data on other important factors? For instance: (1) overlap with agricultural production areas & implications for toxic contamination of air, soil, water used to produce food crops & animals, eggs, etc? (2) overlap with ORGANIC food producing farms? FRACTRACKER ROCKS!
