They get shapefiles from the applicants when they are reviewing permit applications, so it is a simple matter to post it online. I do not buy the argument that the locations are confidential because it is critical energy infrastructure somehow protected for national security purposes. When the pipelines are only “proposed” they present no risk, and once they are in the ground, it is clear to anyone where they are.
