Hi Mike – sorry to hear about all this. There are a lot of different ways fracking could be impacting the river – runoff from well pads and access roads, spills of fracking fluid, diesel, etc., underground migration of fluids, erosion from construction, impacts from pipeline construction, etc. Trucks shouldn’t be dumping fracking waste, but that very will could be happening illegally. If you’re interested in reporting and documenting these impacts we’d love to help with that, and you can also call in complaints to the Department of Environmental Protection. https://www.dep.pa.gov/About/ReportanIncident/Pages/EnvironmentalComplaints.aspx#
Mountain Watershed Association is a great organization to connect with if you haven’t already. They are dedicated to protecting the Youghiogheny River and its watershed. https://www.mtwatershed.com/
